World Bank Selects JCLA to Provide the Nigerian Government with Technical Support

In July 2015, JCLA’s Executive Director Ms Hadeel Abdel Aziz, represented JCLA at a series of legal aid capacity building workshops in Nigeria. The World Bank selected Ms Aziz to provide technical support to the Nigerian government on the institutionalization of legal aid.

 JCLA’s selection by the World Bank is a recognition of the organization’s successful legal aid model and ongoing contributions towards the government's development of an institutionalized legal aid system in Jordan JCLA took the opportunity to share its experiences with the Nigerian government and provided technical support about legal aid case management and quality assurance processes.

Ms Aziz said the experience was rewarding, and she commended the Nigerian government on their commitment to institutionalize legal aid.

JCLA provides legal aid services to poor and vulnerable people living in Jordan, and continues to work with the Jordanian government towards achieving its vision of realizing a society where everyone has equal access to justice. You can find out more about JCLA’s work here.
