JCLA presents this policy note examining how resilience, the core objective of humanitarian aid’s response to crisis, is tied to localization and sustainable development from a local perspective. The paper will achieve its objective by painting a local picture around the commitments of the Grand Bargain versus how humanitarian aid is experienced on the ground as to highlight where efficiency and effectiveness of funding, management, and programming can be improved at the local level.
