The Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA) presents this executive summary of its policy paper "Legislative and Procedural Framework Analysis on Early Marriage in Jordan ". The paper provides a legal analysis of the legislative framework governing early marriage (the marriage of those under 18 years old). The law in Jordan does permit marriages under the age of 18 and above the age of 15 as a supposed narrow exception. However, this paper focuses on enhancing understanding around legal texts, as well as institutional procedures that lend to the excessive use of this ‘exception’
